Asbestos training Limited was incorporated in November 2010 and is unique in the training industry as we are a dedicated Asbestos Training Provider. We have trained in excess of 200,000 delegates, in the subject of asbestos and since 2010 have steadily grown into the UK’s largest Asbestos Training Provider.
Graham O’Mahony - MD
Graham has worked within the asbestos industry for over 20 years and started Asbestos Training Limited in 2010. Prior to this he served his apprenticeship as a Plumbing and Heating Engineer and quickly progressed into a technical role. After hanging up his tool belt, Graham moved into an office working for a local authority and enrolled in his degree as a Building Surveyor. Graham then side stepped the Building Surveying into an Asbestos Surveyor for the same Local Authority, in the late 1990’s, and was responsible for surveying Local Authority properties ranging from Housing to Schools and other Public Buildings along with managing their asbestos issues. After leaving Local Authority Graham decided to move into the asbestos training industry and has continued since delivering asbestos training courses. Graham also continues to work closely with other trades within the construction industry.
Graham has also been appointed by the Board of Directors as the Chair of UKATA, and has worked as a Board Director at the association for 7 years.
Jacqui Royall - Director
Jacqui is a qualified H&S practitioner and member of IOSH & IEMA. For over 13 years Jacqui has specialised in Asbestos Management and Training. Previously working at Board level for a large National Principal Contractor as their H&S Manager and Trainer, Jacqui joined Asbestos Training Limited in early 2011. Jacqui works as a Trainer and also the Training Manager for the Business, liaising with the Operational team in ensuring the training is delivered smoothly and professionally.
John McFarlane - Senior Consultant
John has 15 years’ experience in the Asbestos Industry. Starting his career with a trade background working within repairs and maintenance sector, John moved into the asbestos industry working for a Licenced Asbestos Removal Contractor. Here he worked his way up from Operative, Supervisor and on to Contracts/Project Manager gaining experience in all forms of asbestos removal on a number of projects across the country. From there John went on to work for one of the largest local authorities in the UK as their Asbestos Manager. Within this role John was responsible for the in-house asbestos removal and asbestos surveying team, for managing the asbestos within non-domestic buildings and dealing with all asbestos matters arising from tenants, housing, contractors and staff. John joined Asbestos Training Limited in 2016 to further develop his career and is an accomplished trainer and consultant, highly respected in the industry.
