The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 include the requirement for training employees who work or disturb asbestos, referred to as non-licensable asbestos work or minor works. Persons requiring this type of training would include those whose work will knowingly disturb ACMs, such as plumbers, carpenters, electricians, maintenance and demolition workers; UKATA Certification and Photo ID Cards on Completion.

Topics Covered Include: (Based on One Day, Previous Asbestos Awareness Training)
- Asbestos Awareness (Previously obtained within the past 6 months)
- Emergency procedures (EM1)
- Use of a Class H Vacuum (EM4)
- Control measures used on site for dust suppression (EM5)
- Use and selection of the correct PPE and RPE (EM6)
- Cleaning down the work area (EM7)
- Decontamination (EM8)
- Correct waste handling on site (EM9)
- Practical Training, Use of PPE, Control Measures, Decontamination etc.
We offer a Free of Charge Face Fit Test for each attending delegate using a Sundstrom SR100 half mask, which is the industry preferred. In order to qualify for this the delegate must be clean shaven, either have their own mask [if so, please bring it to the training] or are looking to purchase a mask. This Fit Test pertains only to the mask that it is tested on. This offer is valid for the day of the training, anyone who wishes to return to the Training Centre on an alternative date will be charged £25.00 plus VAT.

Please note you MUST have undertaken UKATA asbestos awareness training in the previous six months.
NB: The course duration for this training has changed due to the implementation of the UKATA Category B Syllabus, implemented 1st September 2014. Originally this course duration was one day, which included the asbestos awareness element. It has been identified that the training requires more emphasis on practical and thus more time to cover the training thoroughly. UKATA have set down two duration timescales for this course, as below:
